Nine-year old Faith was in hospice care and spent a lot of time at Riley Children’s Hospital. She particularly loved when ArtMix teaching artist Bella was around to make art with her. Bella recalls the day that Faith was insistent upon seeing her. Faith’s mother wasn’t sure she would have the energy to make art that day, but to her surprise, Faith made her mother a scarf and a keepsake box. Bella was thrilled she could provide a distraction to Faith and her mother on that day.
The Lolly Project provides arts access to the patients in Indiana children’s hospitals. Kids just like Faith are able to find joy at a time that can be challenging, scary and lonely. You can support ArtMix and The Lolly Project by donating today.
