The eye is the source of sight. But our eyes also lead to blindness to others. We presume that with the ability to see we can see everything that needs to be seen. But what is hard to reckon is the fact that just because you can see does not mean that you can see a person for who they are or what they are experiencing in their life. We assume that what we see is the truth and all that needs to be seen, when in fact our eyes do not allow us to see the truly important details. Our ability to see does not allow us to see what someone is going through in life. We are not gifted with the ability to see nothing other than physical traits in a person. W can use tools to enhance our sight, but the bottom line is that without taking the time to get to know someone, our sight is inevitably useless.
