Lydia Campbell-Maher
VP of Programs
Lydia Campbell-Maher (she/her), VP of Programs, first became involved with ArtMix in 2013 as a volunteer and has served in numerous roles for the organization since that time. She is a PhD candidate in ethnomusicology at Indiana University, has an MA in ethnomusicology from UCC in Cork, Ireland, and a BMA in music business from DePauw University. She has more than a decade of nonprofit experience from her previous roles at Arts for Learning, Lotus Education & Arts Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Traditional Arts Indiana.
Lydia’s role at ArtMix includes recruiting and managing Teaching Artists, designing and evaluating inclusive programming, nurturing community partnerships, and working directly with students and parents.
Lydia is active in the Indy Arts scene, a member of the 2023 Indiana Arts Commission On-Ramp Cohort, and a mental health self-advocate. In her free time, she also serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Rock Indianapolis - an organization that empowers cisgender girls, trans, and nonbinary youth through music education. Lydia is also a singer and musician; she is passionate about music from all over the world and its role in wellness and community building.
