Katie Hillock
Impact and Engagement Director
Katie's passion for accessible arts and inclusive communities began long before joining ArtMix. Inspired by her family's lifelong involvement in the disability community and her own background as a special education teacher, she has dedicated her career to creating opportunities where people of all abilities can learn, connect, and thrive. She holds a bachelor's degree in Special Education and a master's degree in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from Indiana University.
As Impact and Engagement Director, Katie helps tell the story of ArtMix and the people who make it such a special place. She leads marketing, communications, events, volunteer engagement, professional development, employee engagement, and community partnerships with the goal of building meaningful connections that expand access to the arts and strengthen the ArtMix community. Whether she's sharing an artist's story, welcoming a new volunteer, or creating opportunities for staff to grow, Katie believes that every interaction has the power to make someone feel seen, valued, and connected.
