Laura graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling with an Art Therapy concentration. She studied ceramics during her time there and developed a passion for wheel-throwing. She was introduced to ArtMix through her schooling and fell in love with the organization. Laura has held multiple roles at ArtMix, including volunteer, Urban Artisan, Studio Technician, Teaching Artist, and now Studio Manager! She is responsible for maintaining all the supplies and needs of the studios and kilns.

Artistically, Laura enjoys creating functional yet beautiful pieces of pottery on the wheel and experimenting with glazes. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, her husband Ken, and her animals. Laura is thrilled to be a part of ArtMix and work with a community she cherishes.
