Laura Imbriano

Facility and Accessibility Director

Laura's journey with ArtMix has come full circle. First introduced to the organization while earning her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Art Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, she quickly found a community where her passions for art, accessibility, and inclusion could come together. Over the years, Laura has served in many roles including volunteer, Urban Artisan, Studio Technician, Teaching Artist, Studio Manager, and now Facility and Accessibility Director, giving her a unique understanding of nearly every aspect of the ArtMix experience.

As Facility and Accessibility Director, Laura works to ensure that ArtMix's studios, programs, and spaces are safe, welcoming, and accessible for artists, participants, volunteers, and visitors of all abilities. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility while continually looking for ways to remove barriers and create an environment where everyone can create with confidence and belong.

Outside of ArtMix, Laura enjoys creating functional pottery on the wheel, experimenting with glazes, and spending time with her husband, Ken, their family, and their animals.
